What is Rep Power on this BBS?

It goes up or down when someone gives you rep by clicking on the little scale icon on your post. It's basically a way for us New Rep Thread and Cave dwellers to feel cool, and to judge when someone's a troll, or whatever. BTW, you might want to lock the other one of these -- you double posted.
 
I'm failing to realize how this is "Guitars and Basses" related... :)
 
I believe some folks here make multiple user accounts so they can give them selves rep points or to counter neg rep. I think its a real loser thing to do. There's some folks in the cave that just stay in the cave with mega rep points. Point being you really have to really read a particular users post to really know if they are full of crap or not about audio.
 
Actually, if you create a fake account, the rep you give yourself doesn't count unless your fake account has rep.

I myself am a rep whore.

Oh be quiet! The forum is a free for all and you can't stop it! Just watch - I'll post a thread that has nothing to with guitars and basses and people will read it and respond. It's natural here. Check it out...

Actually, i got a ton of rep for saying that rock stars suck after rehab in the EVH thread.

they all said "Fuck yeah they do!"
 
Out of my twelve thousand something rep points, I'd say maybe a dozen of them are for offering intelligent advice on recording, or what not.
I believe the rest is just an expression of peoples gratitude that they are not me!
