I just bought a new comp. HP Pavillion, 512 DDR SDRAM (can upgrade to 1024), 2.53 ghz Intel Pentium 4, 80 gigs DMA hard drive. What is the best soundcard that I can get for my computer? Price does not matter.
Again, it does depend on your needs, but even for any budget I would suggest the Delta Series by M-Audio. The 66 or 1010 are nice additions. Best of luck!
Thanx for your suggestions. I will make my question a little more clear. What I want to do is record from my external synth to my computer into a wav editor such as cool edit pro, soundforge.
So...If I want the best possible results and highest quality recording, what soundcard do you think is the best outhere in the market for that?
Do you just have the one synth? If so the audiophile 2496 doesn't look too bad. If you need more I/Os then the rest of the Delta Series might work. There is also the STAudio C- Port...
I vote for the Delta 10/10. You have great support, midi, crystal transparent converters, and expandability to the future.
the 1010 lite has a lower price tag with the same features.
If price is no option go with the RME.
