Newbie looking for a little direction. Been recording voice-overs on my computer - captions for screen shots. Am using Audacity and a Logitech microphone with USB plug. First time around the sound was crisp and clean. It was magical because I made no changes to the default settings since I was using Audacity for the first time. Now I need to re-record a few of them. I'm in the same room using the same computer and don't know of anything that I changed in Audacity, but it sounds muffled, not crisp and volume is lower.

Any suggestions?

Sorry no help, but made me think of what this drummer told his guitar player when he couldn't play 'cause his Baringer amp wouldn't get out of tuner' mode... "Reboot"?

Don't laugh (..well we did, but it worked!
:D

Either the microphone placement was different from the first time or you just think it was clear and clean. ;)

Solved. Microphone placement is nearly right. Second time around the setting on the computer for default microphone had been reset because it was uninstalled and re-installed a couple of months ago. So the recordings I'd done recently were going through the microphone in the computer and that translates to ugly and muffled. All better now.:D

check the cables of microphone i am sure you would get resolved with the issue here, you are going to get some sound solution of it
