What happened to my US-428?

Ok so I recently reinstalled XP on my machine.
Uninstalled Messeger and Configured the Services.
Then I installed the drivers for the Tascam.
Then I installed Cubase

Which I have done many times Before with no problems.

I attempted to start working on a new song and all of a sudden the US-428 usb light starts going in and out and the mouse stutters as the usb light goes
off and on. and the audio is going in and out.

Help me please this really sux

Anyone know what is wrong?

Athlon XP 3200+ on a DFI Board w/ Nvidia chipset, 1 gig RAM, 250 gig HD, running Windows XP pro and Cubase SX.

Check both ends of the USB cable - if they're both secure, buy a new one.

You could also try reinstalling the drivers after removing them...

Thanks for your reply after getting fustrated to the point of almost doing a complete reinstallation.

I went to my mainboards website and found that they had released usb drivers for the the board apparently the ones that came with xp were not that good.

I installed them and everything now is running Ok.
