What exactly is this?

My friend just gave me a version of cakewalk called Music Creator 2003 that he never used.
I read through the manual but it doesn't mention hooking up an interface to it. Can my Tascam US-122 be used with this program? Also, what's the deal with this thing, is it unlimited tracks?

As long as the Tascam sends out MIDI-data, it should work.

Unlimited tracks mean just what is says: You can use as many tracks as you want (or your computer can handle).
