I've been playing around with recording stuff for over a year, and now I want something good. I've been using cheap mics and the mic input on my sound card. I've gotten a few things over the months, but now I want to do a CD that's good enough to sell at shows and stuff.
Here's what I got so far:
I'm in the middle of building a new computer, it's going to be at least 1Ghz.
Peavy guitar amp head (I don't really use this for recording)
Line 6 Guitar POD and floorboard
6 channel mixer PA head
1 Shure mic
Cakewalk PA9
Cool Edit Pro
What else would I need? What kind of sound card should I put in the computer, Delta 1010, Delta 66, something else? I don't know if I need one or not, it would probably be handy and a lot of you have one, and that's a mixer. I was thinking about the Behringer MX2004A Eurorack Mixer. I'm guessing I would also need more mics.
