I'm considering the Boss DR-3 (Dr. Rhythm). Anyone here using this?

ive always used the trusty Alesis SR16 mate.
ive no idea how to programme it even after all this time,
but it sounds great.

I use the zoom 323 (i think that's the #). Been a pretty good unit to me...

You can get them on EBAY for pretty cheap. I got mine for 150.00.

Can you say more about this? Are the piano, guitar, etc. internal sounds in the machine? That sounds very cool!

It a Drum machine on steroids.
Yes the internal sounds are in the machine. And better yet, they layout of programing the sounds is the same as first six frets of a guitar (all six strings).
SO programming piano parts etc is easy if you know the notes on a guitar neck (I do not play piano so I am lost using a keyboard but I can use the DR-5 easier since I play guitar/bass)
Listen to "Viva Bajo" . I used the DR-5 for drums/persussion/piano/horns. I have many others if you want to hear more.

I recently acquired a DR-3. It's a very capable machine. While I haven't been overly enamored with the preprogrammed patterns, the thing is totally user programmable...I've programmed my own patterns. You can also define drum kits, combine patterns into songs and stuff like that.
The dr-3 also has bass built-in as well.
The menus can be a little ackward, but if you're patient, it'll do a lot.
