I, too, was wondering if anybody had tried out this or any of the other new E-Mu audio cards. From the sounds if it, they are probably using the Emu10K2 (as used in Creative's Audigy2 line) as the core DSP but with a better card design and converters. On their website they claim that they're using the same A/D converters as DigiDesign uses in their HD192 I/O, for better or worse (at this price probably better).
Something else to mention is that E-Mu's new hybrid sampler (the Emulator-X and Emulator-X Studio) uses the same hardware at an incremental cost (an extra $100 dollars over the hardware alone). Everyone that's written reviews of Winter NAMM seem to be really excited about the possibilities of this new sampler.
