Extreeeeeeeemly boomy for my taste, but it might work for you. I think the toms are a little too loud in the mix.

It's not me playing. I recorded the drummer in my band while he was warming up. He was just goofing around and didn't know that I was recording. Other than the timing issues...what do you think of the sound?

I don't care for the sound of those cymbals, though I think it's the cymbals themselves rather than how they're recorded.

But Greg's right, how drums sound in isolation is largely meaningless. The good news is that cheap cymbals can be masked in a mix
