What do you think about these reverb units for vocals?

They look really cool. Especially the AKG. Hard to tell from here how they sound though. :D I wouldn't doubt if the reserve is pretty high on that AKG though.

Dunno, but they both look awesome. I'd probably defer to the AKG box.

A Tascam RS-20B dual spring reverb was the only reverb used for the vocal and drums in this digital production. It was applied as a send effect during mixdown. I also used it in conservative amounts on the guitar tracks and the keyboard tracks just for blending but it was more subtle on those because they were tracked wet and already had their own "juice".

i was also wondering about using spring reverb on vocals aswell, among other non guitar things, even drums for that matter. I bought a 1968 traynor pa reverb recently with the anticipation I would use it for my vocal reverbs and the like, but after reading through a few threads, I got the idea it was a no no. I still wanna use it, but I wanna know what y'all think.

ps. finally got my space echo from the repair shop, its also got reverb in it (that I haven't heard yet, it is what was being repaired, I bought it broken.) I know that in the 50's (and correct me if I'm wrong) Sun records used tape echo as an attempt to create a reverb like effect. Guess it caught on, all the following rockabilly records used that slap back like crazy. Maybe I'll do the same :D

I like the spring reverb. I have a Traynor mixer/reverb I've used quite a bit and I like the way it sounds. I've used it on drums, vox and guitars.
