Hi,

I started singing about a year ago with home karaoke device.

I recorded my singing by phone and uploaded it in to my husbands youtube channel.
(youtube.com/user/Evokuutio)

As you can see I like to sing very difficult songs. :D

I have never taken any voice lessons but now I am planning to go and get some.

Your comments and tips are more than welcome.

You can find my singing covers by my nickname "Sannukka" from youtube.

Regards, Sannukka from Finland

I think you did a great job. I especially enjoyed your Sarah Brightman cover. You should still get a coach to guide and maintain your vocal techniques.

Thank you AaronGeorge for your kind and supportive words.:)

Hi Sannukka, what is it that you're trying to achieve - what is the goal?

Hello! I am very shy and at the moment I only sing at home for my own pleasure. My goal is to study classical vocal technique, and if I become a really good singer I could maybe perform or participate in some competition.

Thanks, Jr Omega Beats.

I just love to sing movie songs! I would record in a studio but I don't know anyone who has one.

Time to get that wonderful husband of yours to buy you a nice microphone.

I have a microphone but it's not very good. It came with the karaoke device. So I'm planning to buy a high quality microphone. If you have some tips to give I would be happy.

Shyness is definitely the most important, yet hardest, thing to overcome. Confidence will really make a big difference in your voice. Just like speaking, picture someone in your head who is confident - you imagine someone with a commanding and powerful voice right? No coincidence. If you aim to study classical vocal technique, then you should definitely seek out instruction from a classical teacher as technique is a really big deal when it comes to this style. You have a foundation, just go get the lessons and perhaps that will assist in building confidence as well. Best of luck!

Thank you for your words. True what you say about the use of voice and speaking. I find myself often as a listener in the group. I have found a classical teacher and planning to start the lessons this spring. Maybe I could get courage also in a choir.

Thank you for the encouraging words. It's so important to sing from the heart. Interpretation of the songs is an art. I keep singing. I've had a flu and I'm scared to start singing again. How should I start so that I don't ruin my voice?
