do ya'll do to get Studio Quailty on Cubase? like what effects and stuff ya'll use cause im new

A good start might be going through the tutorials in the Getting Started guide that comes with the software. If you are totally new, the will familiarize you with the software and tinkering around with audio and effects.

Getting "studio quality" takes practice, patience, and good ears. We could all list stuff here all day about compress this, eq that, etc., but you'll have to experiment (that and it's been done before here). Searching around the forum will provide you with a wealth of tips on mixing, what effects work best for what and more. There are some good people in here that do know what they're talking about - I've learned alot just by searching and reading! Cubase is a great program with great capabilities....it's just a tool though.

Good Luck.

yep,

to get "studio quality" you need 3 main ingredients:

- studio qual. software (which IMHO Cubase is!)
- studio qual. hardware
- studio qual "human-ware"

if you are new to cubase and DAWs, chances are that you (and your hardware) will be the bottleneck for the next couple of months/years :-) ... or in other words, stop worrying about FXs and stuff, and start with the boring but basic stuff!

bear in mind, it takes a LOT more than SW to deliver studio qual!!!

cheers and good luck,
alfred

Engineering skills/critical listening is 90%, gear & s/w is 10%........

Effects are worthless if the person behind the board doesn't know what they're doing......

More even so, if one doesn't know exactly what the effect of an "effect" is, or how to use it, one will probably overdo it greatly, causing more harm than one would when leaving the effect out all together.

There ain't not "make sound good" button in the program mate, stop looking for it ;)
