What system do u run PC or mac?

Well im a PC man because:
1)Its what i know.
2)I want to play games too and i think that PC is better for this and the games come out first on PC
3)Im not rich. PC's are far cheaper than macs.
4) Stability isnt a problem. Im running logic in windows 98 (im about to try it under XP) and it hasnt crashed so far and from what ive heard XP is much more stable.
Im not saying macs are better. Just better for me.
I appoligize if i've repeated something someone else read, im too lazy to read all the posts ;)

Oh btw If u want to play games as well and have stabilty I would still say the mac! Its easier to partition and when u partition It does actually work properly (Sorry I have had bad experiences with partitioned PC's)

Did you just recommend Mac as a gaming platform? Most games that do exist on Mac are for pre OSX. This throws the stability thing out the window. Not to mention the fact that gaming hardware on the Mac is quite inferior.

I really don't see the difficulty in partitioning a hard drive, regardless of platform.
 
PC, only cause I dont know the Mac OS.... and limited software

Well its taken me a bit of time to get it going but ive now sucessfully partitioned one of my drives with tow OS, windows 98 for games and XP for recording. I've just got to see if i can get logic to run under XP
 
PC. I've been involved selling, building, and supporting them for about 16 years. I like Macs, but find PCs more flexable and there is certainly a much wider variety of software for them. But I concede that there are great choices in recording & other softeware on Mac. If your dominant use of the system is recording, a Mac can be fine (if expensive) choice.

I should note that I started off working in the mid 1980's for what was the largest Commodore & Amiga dealer in the midwest. I still have fond memories of my Amiga 2500, what a damn fine system that was in it's day! When the Amiga slid into oblivion I decided not to get sucked into loving another "niche" system again, but rather to follow the big Wintell 97% herd. And after 17 years Microsoft has finally come up with an OS that's as fun to play with as my Amiga was.

Funny, that's kinda what I though when I checked out XP: Wow, Windows finally caught up with Mac OS 9!:D

I assume you're not referring to the "under the hood" pieces.
 
Most pro studios use mac based systems, but in the home recording world it seems to be that people use PC's cos of the amount of software and price of the actual computer And (cough) the amount of cracks.
