Hi,
I downloaded the n-track demo and also the spectural analyser from brainspawn. All I want to do is to open up a wav. file in n-track and use the brainspawn as a plugin; I can't work out how I do this.

I have the wav.files on CD, I guess I just open them up by going to open wav.file in n-track, but how do I use Brainspawn with it, I can't seem to find/open it from within n-track. I know nothing about computer recording, I would appreciate any insights into how to do this.

Will it work only having the demos of both? How do plugins work?

Thanks.

N-Track wont open a wav file (as far as i know).......Youll have to use the import function under file......(file,import wav file)....

for more info on using plugins with N-Track, click Help,Contents, Index, and then scroll down to plugins......

You actually can open .wav files in n-track, although I just jad to go try, I've never tried that before, always used "import" like gidge said. Are the files on your CD actually .wavs or CD audio? I don't know what else to suggest.

Wow; sonnylarsen you replied as I replied to Gidge. I am using my D16 (stand alone digital hard drive recorder) and burning wav. files to CD-R, I then put them into my ROM drive and take it from there. I don't want to do any recording or editing, I just want to use the spectural analyser to analyse the data of the wav. files.

Trouble being my CD-rom that's not working at the moment at reading the data (any ideas?). I'll hopefully get that fixed but at the moment this application is just in theory.

That won't work well in n-Track because n-Track reads direct from disk as it plays back. Your CDROM drive probably won't hold up under these conditions. Also, n-Track will probably squak that it can't create its peak files.

Copy the files to your hard drive first and you'll be all set.

Thanks for the replies, I get how to transfer the wav. files into N-track but how do I get N-track to recognise the Spectural analyser plugin?

Thanks,
Krystof.
