not to be vague, excuse please...

i just bought an m-audio 410 and have a Beh mx1604a mixer, dbx comp, alesis midiverb4, bbe 462, fruity loops and cooledit pro...

i build systems for a living so thats covered, yeah, tight times :( what would you do with this hardware? yaya, trash it, haha...

i've played guitar for more years than i care to admit and have that base covered also, half doz m57-58 and 2 other mixers, eclipse acm-24 and a 12ch peavey unity 500...

not to mention guitar effects, no pod though :)

really "any input" or suggestions will be greatly appreciated 10x....

not trying to be a dick or anything but

why don't you try it out and see? Its not like its going to cost you anything to test your new gear out.
Everyone is going to tell you it depends anyways. This question is so open ended.
Be more specific and to the point, someone will be able to help.

The question is what can't you do with your setup? ? ?

Repeat after me:

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me runnin' through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

Now go get 'em, Tiger ! ! Soar ! ! !

the m-audio should be here monday, i hope i can make desent samples with this setup... thnaks

ok, what would you add to this studio to help it i guess is what i'm asking...i have many vst and like fruity as a drum mach... MAC does not hold the DAW title anymore from what i'm reading, i have 2 systems w/ twin 80g WD/JB series drives, one system runs RAID 0 and will give you a white eye rollback at the speed it runs :) AMD 2100 with all the tweaks..

i also am very impressed with Fruitloops, thousands of configs, and the synth tears me up :) in the good way.... thanks again...

I used to run a Gina system which is very simular to the m-audio 410 (two analog inputs, S/PDIF in/out, eight analog outputs). Very powerful setup. You can set up a hybrid mixing setup if you want, using the eight outs as four stereo sub groups back to the mixer (this way you can use hardware toys and plugins at the same time) or just mix in software with the CEP. You're in for a lot of sleepless nights, anxiety and a boatload of fun. Let the gear lust begin. :D

also, where can i post a few samples to be reviewed here, free if not cheap....thanks...

i'm kinda new to this forum but this place/group (the rack) is a pretty tight bunch, hope that comment didn't knock that :) musicans/techs are a funny/touchy bunch at times... i've been there for over 20 years in and out, believe me i've seen/delt and read it many more times than i care to admit, again :) thanks
