I just got a Mogami mic cable and am happy. Now, I am going to be buying some cables for my sound card to my mixer to my pre-amp and some more mic cables. I was wondering what your opinions were. What do you use? I narrowed it down to these three brands:

Canare
Mogami
Monster Cable

what do you think?

Thanks.

Adam.

I use all three and another. I use Mogami for line level cable for instruments and my patchbay in the studio, Canare Star Quad for studio microphone level cable, Monster Cable for my ADAT-XT, and Belden for microphone cable on the road and speaker cable for both in the studio and on the road.

I really don't prefer any over another other than I find Belden to be the most duriable for live application abuse. The main thing is that get something with a braided shield; except for the cable going in the wall or behind a patchbay (permanent line level cables really).

No matter what you choose, they're all going to be very expensive. I highly recommend making your own cables, and buy in bulk (500' or more). Also, don't forget to use Switchcraft or Neutrik connectors. This is very expensive too. But it's not worth skimping on the connectors after spending so much on the cable. Make sure to buy these in high bulk as well.
