Young ~N~ ReAdy
Recently I been gettin woodies for the voice of Mariah Carey and I was like woah!...maybe I should take a crack at some r&b ish...as I can see alot of us round here dont put out ish like that...BUT IM NODDY NUCCA! :D  And I feel like taking a stab at it. I was wondering if there were a couple of r&b rules I gotta follow or somethin...I mean I dont wanna put out some Kelly Rowland melody and come in smashin wit some pastor TrOy drums or no ish like that...basically Im bout to put out some smooth ish and I was wonderin if anyone wanted to come along on the ride so that I wont be the ugly duckling out of the bunch

Actually I think that's a good idea. I've wanted to drop some R&B shit with our label, but I don't have any R&B artists at all.... and I think "Kelly Rowland melody and come in smashin wit some pastor TrOy drums" would sound tight haha. As for rules, there's not really any rules. Everything we do in say Rock, applies in Hip Hop too. And everything in R&B applies to any other genre. It's how we want it to sound. Also if a Hi Hat has too much clank or gong in it, it doesn't matter where it came from (R&B, Rock, Rap, Techno etc), fixing it would still be the same throughout the genres. Mixing it down would also still be the same. The only thing different I could think of is on effect processors like for example a reverb unit, or delay, there might be some changes via genre, but regardless, we would use it as a tool to help us make whatever it may be to sound great.

SO were you gonna sing R&B or something? I have beats for that lol.

I do a lot of R&B but don't have any decent singers. Most of them are local females including my g/f who sound O.K. at best in the shower but sound like they sound O.K. in the shower in front of the mic...lol

The rules are the same as hip-hop or any other music, there are really no rules do what sounds good. Bangin drums sound good in R&B too, so don't be afraid to make em bang!

For Real son!...Mindset you like Big Time I aint tryna fvck up none of ya tracks son...I would love to the only thing is I dont have my mic set up yet nor a decent recording place

I think the limp dreams is nice son it's a smooth r&b joint. although the piano volume should come down a lil bit but other than that all u need now is vocals

Aight koo...see where u got me D?...Man I think Ive came a LOOONG ways lol

I luv allll yalls :( :D

Now you trying to eat off my plate.LOL. Track is tight man.R&B is a good look.Seems to be more serious and professional people in that genre.A smooth track with some hard drums will appeal to all sides.Listen to Wasted and City Lights on my page and let me know what y'all think.

I've been trying to find a female artist to sing on my label but unfortunately, I've been spoiled by Mariah Carey's vocal range. I've written some real nice soul tracks that would be dope with the right singer but they need someone like Mariah to really pull it off lol

I was actually talking to some of her people about me writing a few MC joints but that kinda fell apart, I need to get back on that though.

Yuh...I got a couple chicks that can BLOW(take it how u want)...Im waiting on da recording until I get my beat skills crisper...maybe round Christmas time
