What about Nvidia?

I have been checking out the new asus boreds with the Nforce 2 chipset. They have been getting RAVE reviews, anywhere from calling it the Hyperthread killer, to the best chipset for AMD ever made. That being said, I know that all these benchmarks dont really tell you if its good for recording? So have any of you guys heard about this new chipset ? if its good for most cards?

No, the n-Force is a complete chipset.

The first one didn't exactly turn out to be the greatest thing....I haven't heard of anyone using the nforce 2 around here yet. Maybe you can be the first to try!!?

The guys on the Anand forums are freakin raving about them. The Abit and Epox boards got good reviews too.
