Does anyone own one of these mics? AMS is giving great deals
on them.

I have a couple of the GT6TMs and I like them. I've used them for vocals and was impressed, and I've also used them for MS stereo recordings. I got mine from Full Compass, and I thought they were good value.

I have a AM-52 multi pattern mic. I don't care for it on vocals (seems a bit thin to me). In omni on a bass cab or outside on the beater of a kick drum it's very cool. In figure eight as the side mic in M/S micing on acoustic instruments and drum over heads its VERY cool too.

I wonder if they are American made of if they're chinese. How do they compare to V67g or the C1?

I dont know where they are made or how they sound. But the AM40 the little slim line tube mic for $300 would be good for a studio with a little money to throw away and in need of some "OOoohhh AAaahhh" mics. I think its really cool looking, i would love to test one out.

They used to be made by alesis, On that chinese question....They suspiciosly have capsules dont they?
