Taking the slow road
Tonight. I have a nice guitar, one toss around, and one ok w/ p/u for open mics, and gigs. All 3 have too much fret wear to play anymore. So of course, i have to DIY everything and I learned what I have to get to re-do frets....

in the meantime, I need another cheapo bangaround guitar so i got a $159 Carlo Robelli, I always thought that was the cheapo brand, but this one is amazing to me. it has all kinds of harmonic overtones happening, and it's all bouncy and sweet tone, and happend to be set up right, at the moment.

it also looks sweet, with the light top, dark sides, matching neck color. I could swear it's worth more and mis labeled or something b/c others in that price range or lower all sounded very boxey and thin and - like my cheapo Fender I got for more $$ that this one, a few years ago.

I could go on, probably will, and add pic later....need sleep

Pretty sweet looking acoustic.

A Google search turned up this thing at Sam Ash as well-

There's 12 tuning pegs there, to clarify!

I just decided to see if I could find it online at MF, but it looks like they don't have any Carlo Robelli, so I googled, and Sam Ash on line. is this a Sam brand?

Carlo Robelli is the Sam Ash house brand. Like Rogue for MF.

Under $500.

A new set of strings will cost about $300 though so in the long run it will be pricey. :D

a ha, that makes sense to me now. I wonder how bad is Rogue?

On a lighter note, I picked up a Fender Elec/Acoustic 12 String from MF in November for $199.99, plays like a dream!

I was in a band with a guy who did some drumming on the side for another band. The bass player in that band (are ya still with me? lol) had a Carlo and a Rogue bass, never had a chance to play them, but he always sounded decent on stage, best I can offer on the subject.
