Hey yall. How all been? I was just checkin in wit yall to see whasup. I got rid of my soundclick page cause people like to still beats and stuff. I might put it back up some other time. Also i wanted to ask yall, any of yall ever used the AT4050? Folks are raving about it! My homeboy got the ksm27, which i like, and i was about to get it to. Then, i realized i could just use his if i wanted that particular sound. As a result, i wanna cop me an at4040 cause they're dirt cheap on ebay. But, then the at4050 gets thrown in the mix. I know it's alot more expensive! Is it really a whole lot better?

Both the 4040 & 4050 are great mic's, have used both of them, I don't use them regularly though (only because I have better mic's to use). Both mic's sound pretty transparent. I do know that the 4050 has switchable patterns and the 4040 doesn't. If you want a good similar model, that doesn't sound as transparent, and sounds more warme, they have the 4047. Great mic right there.

Don't get to use it 'cause the S-tudio in inop right now.................But I can say that it definitely works for my voice.

I used it on a Gospel project that went well. I think it all depends on voice texture and what sound you want to obtain. I copped that 4050 off of Ebay for like $325 about a year ago.........
