my monitors are not straight they are turned sideways a little facing me. is this the right way to do it?
There is a good discussion regarding placement in the users manual but most people recomend putting the speakers in two corners of an equilateral triangle with your head in the listening position at the third point.
This can be easily done with a yard stick or mark a piece of string.
1. Measure the distance from your speakers to your ears at the listening spot.
2. Seperate the speakers from each other by the same distance.
3. The manual if I remember correctly recomended about a 30 degree angle.
4. The manual also recomends standing them upright but if you lay the speakers on their sides put both tweeters to the outside for the best stereo imaging. I am using some iso pads that angle the speakers down toward my listening position so I do have mine on my sides...can't take a chance on them tipping over.
Thanks David I broke them in yesterday and WOW! These are amazing especially compared to my Alesis Mk 1's.
Fed Ex left them Friday on my door step but someone along the way wrote a strange cryptic message in black sharpie on one of the shipping boxes...I know you typically drop ship and had nothing to do with the message but it was strange none the less.
"Don't be being a menace when drinking your juice in the hood"
LOL
I don't live int the Hood
I don't go to the Hood
I would not by juice in the Hood if I went
and being a nerdy scrawny white guy with a strong sense of survival
if I ever went to the Hood and bought juice there I would not hang around there to drink it if you know what I mean....must have me confused with someone less concerned for their life.
