just unpacked my 8.2a's after moving a couple of months ago. one of the woofers seems to be screwed up. it sounds like it's busted but it only does it while playing back low frequencies.

i bought these from american musical supply almost a year ago. they're supposed to have a 5 year warranty. i went to wharf's site to try to find warranty info, service centers, customer service, etc. all i see are numbers and addresses for distributors.

anyone here had to get wharfedale warranty service? if so, who did you contact? how much of a pain in the ass was it to get yours serviced?

Contact Deepwater, he was (is?) a dealer for Wharfdale. I'm sure he can help you out. Good luck!

i just bought warfe's from deepwater 3 days ago...He comes in here everyday..

Well, I contacted American Musical Supply, the company that I bought the Wharf's from. They gave me the phone number for the U.S. Wharfdale distributor, IAG America, 508-850-3950. I called them up, the guy asked what the problem was, and said a new woofer would be sent out by tomorrow. Seems pretty smooth so far. I'll update the end result when I get the new woofer in.

When I bought my Wharf's, I got them cheap as a dent and scratch deal. One corner on the back of each cabinet is dented in. I did'nt receive a warranty card when I bought them so I was kind of worried about getting warranty service when the time came. The guy at IAG did'nt give me any bs at all about the warranty card. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case any of you did'nt receive a warranty card with your Wharf's.

The only thing I'm really kind of worried about is how much different the new woofer is going to sound with the other good old one, being that it's gonna take some time to break in.
