hi there
im guessing because of the higher price the wharfedale diamond pro 8.2's are better in some way than the 8.1's. here in the UK, there £50 more. do u think its worth me paying the extra £50 for these, is the quality difference worth mne going for it? considering im quite tight on money, i could save that extra money within a few weeks tho. what do you people think, is there enough in the difference to make it worth my while? thanks for any response.

Steve

You will loose bottom end with the 8.1 due to the smaller cone size.

Hehe, he said "loose bottom."

But trippinants13 is right. The 8.1's have a smaller woofer, and you will lose some low end response compared to the 8.2's.

i see, so your suggestiong its worht the extra money?... this sounds crazy but is the amount of bottom end im lossing worth paying £50 to save my mixes from lack of bottom?...

Every penny. The alternative to the 8.2 is 8.1s and a sub. Seen how much subs cost? The 8.2 alone will not get you all the way there, you need a well treated room and a sub woofer, but for most of us they are a long way forward. The 8.1 on its own is useless, you'll have no idea what's going on at the bottom end.

go with 8.2

i did hear and compare both ( using 8.2 now ) and the extra money for the 8.2 isn´t much and you should pay it.
