I was given a pair of these speakers today by an old studio buddy.
Has anyone owned the same ones and if so whats your opinion on them and suggested best use.
Thanks

Yes I've had a pair for many years and am looking at them right now. By today's standards they dont handle big power (about 30W RMS from memory) but were well designed with good crossovers, with no cheap foam woofer suspension rings. The tweeters are possibly blown and need replacing though. That could prove an expensive exercise to do properly.

I guess you like them despite there power handling then Tim.
I A/B them against the only other pair i had in the room and they blew the hitachi's away.
Not that Hitachi are known for speaker production.
to be honest I only had a quick check just to make sure all the cones worked. But they still sounded sweet to my ears.
I read in a review that they have a peak resonance at 13k. Here on page 3 of this article
