The B Series uses a unique isolation suspension inside the mic. The capsule is free floating and isolated from the top plate and body. No one is doing this, and you do not need the shockmount. The design is every bit as good as good as an external mount in isolating vibrations.

Chessparov, you and Alan have good points you are are totally mis-informed on the main reason you need a shockmount on every microphone.

It looks impressive. When your friends come over, especially non-techniical musicians, you have to have mics in shockmounts, lost of multi-colored flashing LED's on multiple racks completely full of rack gear(weather any of it has ever been hooked up or not. You also need two rooms devided by a window of some sort, lots of foamy stuff on the walls, and preferably a computer program displaying an FFT of something on your computer screen. One of the reasons I recomend the Tannoy Reveal actives is because not only do they have that pro-studio no grill monitor look, but they have nifty blue LED's on the front. LED's are important. And track Lighting...Must have track lighting.
