weird cubase freezes

maybe it's Midisport 8x8/s, that causes the problem, but i ordered Cubase 4 anyway....

my current Cubase sx 3, i had one audio track + 1 recorded midi track,

i pressed rec button on next midi track, rehersing along with previous audio+midi track...

than Cubase just freezes, but audio keeps on playing...
i check in task manager: "program not responding"

Interesting...I've had the same problem with Cubase 4 AI but not doing MIDI.

At the time I had this kind of crash I was running Quick time, don't know if that's a cause or not. I need to investigate it more.
