Weird Audiophile balance problem

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this odd problem I'm having - I've got music coming out from my mixer into my Audiophile 2496 card and the right channel has a significantly stronger signal than the right (it even shows in the control panel on the screen) - I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's the mixer that is creating the sound problem (I don't have another mixer to test this out with to see if it does the same thing) or if it is the Audiophile card itself that is causing it.... Anyone have any thoughts on this?

In the AP control panel, do you have the output stereo link locked ?
Try playback in mono...test both channels seperately.

also try flipping your cables around, does the problem stay put or move?
