The whole "wire and wax" bit of the description of this forum seems like a half-joke, til you actually own one.
I have a Webster Chicago wire recorder. Don't ask me why I have it. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting to own one.... but now I do!! It turns on, transport works, but I have no wire spools to even test it with, nor do I have one of those janky crystal microphones. Oh well.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it. I'll put pictures up here later. Just thought it was interesting. Anyone here use these for anything other than slicing vegetables?
