Sigh. I deleted the wrong thread by mistake.

Okay, here's the gist of his message: rpc9943 wants IRC chat for Cool Edit issues. He wants someone to set it up, someone with a computer on all the time for the chatroom bot, I think.

However, from my days on IRC, it seems to me that if you all decide on a time and place to meet, you just go to an IRC net and create a room and in you go. You decide on a name beforehand and a time and do it. I've done it. It's doable. You can make it password protected if you like to keep trolls out.
 
What if there was a chatroom available at another recording BBS that doesn't get used a ton? lol. TRY THAT ONE!!!
 
Well I think there should be a nice constant irc chat room where pro audio, specifically cooledit pro/audition users could join. That way, we could not only use the forum, but the irc room as a gathering point.

btw sorry about the extraneous posts, the server didnt work properly.
