Wdm drivers

I am very new to recording. I have started my venture with SonarXL and an HP 7855 with a 1gig motherboard and Windows ME. I can not get Sonar to run with the WDM drivers, only the MME. What is the problem, what am I doing wrong. Any help you can offer will be great!!
 
what soundcard /interface are you using? assuming you have a card that supports wdm then go to options>audio and make sure that use mme drivers is not checked off. it took me a couple of tries to get wdm working the first time. when you run wave profiler it should say wdm kernel streaming if you have the drivers loaded correctly.
 
Thanks for the help. I did try that, but it didn,t work. When I checked my system profile, it said that the kernal drivers were unavailible, so this must be a windows problem??
 
could be all you need to do is reload win me. after installing ; wdm drivers for my motu, or sonar ,(i can't remember which), my system called for my win 98se disc. hope this helps some.
