Waveterminal 192M Good or Not?

I'm plunging into this digital recording thing and converting my "All Purpose PC" into a Primary DAW and secondary all purpose type of deal. I've been doing a lot of research for a sound card (interface) that I can plug my gear into. I've posted this question in the "Gear" BBS, but just saw this one and thought it worth a shot. Has anyone used the WT 192M before? If so what are your thoughts? I'm kind of going small budget (Setting the whole thing up for just under a 1k), so I thought this would be my best bet. But, I'm starting to wonder. The WT192M has the phantom power I'd need for a good condenser mic, but it is all 1/4" plugs. Is this going to be a problem?

Also, while I'm at it, I'm planning on getting Sonar 3.0 Studio Ed. for the software, and I was told that at the start a nice pair of headphones would do ok for monitors (till I can afford some). Going to spend roughly $250 on a mic (not shure [pun intended] which yet). My PC is a 2.4 GHZ Dell with 512 of 1900DDR Ram. Currently has a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound card, but I'll replace that with whatever interface Card I buy. Anyway, I'm just a newb trying to get a leg up. Wanting to record a bunch of music I wrote (Guitar, Vocals, Keyboard, Drums, Accoustic Guitar), so looking for a good affordable way to do it. I'll check back for post throughout the day. Thanks.

Damn ! another interface. Its getting out of control.
It looks nice enough but not sure what there converters are like, but at that price.... maybe not all that good. Dont know too much about ESI either.
Now the m-audio cards are proven well and do well.
or RME, or Logic, or MOTU, or Digidesign, or...........
