Looking for some input as I'm ever so close to the mastering stage of my solo project. It will be my first go at it, and I have access to Waves Mastering & Izotope Ozone. Now I believe waves to be better, but Ozone has the comprehensive tutorial that's available on their site, plus I think it may be easier to a novice like myself right? Any thoughts? Maybe I could incorporate both, like the L2 from Waves?

I tried Ozone but couldn't get past the goofy interface(goofy to me anyways), plus at the time I had a slower computer, and it really was a drag on the system, I also thought is was kind of limited. Now I use WaveLab.

Waves definitely gets my vote without any doubts. However you will find lots of people say Ozone is just as good for a lot less price........ however I dont know of anyone who owns Waves mastering bundle and uses Ozone.

Its hard to beat using the C-4 or LinMD and the L-1 or L-2.

And Wavelab 3 which is my favorite editing program does not contain high quality mastering software.

I use ozone on certain material and waves plugs on others.
Ozone is certainly much cheaper and does a fine job. As with any plug it takes some time to learn how to tweak it. But its nice to have it all in one interface.
