Has anyone tried this yet? A guitar player sampled this clip on another board. Very impressive. Sounds just like a Dumble!

Waves GTR tool sample clip

Anyone have any exprience with this software? I might have to check it out...

PLease do not take this wrong, because I do not mean anything personal by it, but have you ever actually heard a dumble?

The dumble topic ( which I'm sure could get lengthy ) is not the reason for my initial post. I just want to point out that the Waves GTR tool, to my ears, seems to replicate the ODS sound that Robben and other artists have on their recordings extremely well. It really begins to tweak my interest in the GTR tool's ability to emulate the Fenders, Marshalls and other amps.

I personally haven't had the privilege of playing a Dumble but I have always admired the tone these following artists have:

Robben Ford - Overdrive Special

Larry Carlton - Overdrive Special

Stevie uses a 150-watt Dumble Steel String Singer on Texas Flood.

John Mayer used an Overdrive Special on the Austin City Limits special with Buddy Guy. Mayer's tone is schweet on that performance!

Steve KimocK

Eric Johnson on sailing...

I'm sure there's more, but those are the first that come to mind. I have played a Two Rock which supposedly resembles a Dumble ODS in some ways. The Two Rock Sterling is a very sweet sounding amp.

Getting back to the original posting, I would think there would be someone on this board that has had some experience working with the Waves GTR tool software. Anyone?

I'm guessing that most people on this board did'nt spend $600 on their main recording software, much less a single plugin.
