does anybody here use wavelab computer software for recording?
If so, are there any precautions I should take into concideration, or are there any "must have" drivers or updates or anything like that?
just wonderin'

Wavelab is an excellent stereo editor, but that's all it is. Unlike the freeware program Audacity it doesn't even nod to multi-tracking.

Sounds to me like you've been on the pirate boards, found Wavelab and downloaded it and then came here to get some info about it.

I gave you all the info you needed to get going with Reaper, but you either didn't lilke or couldn't follow my instructions and instead of asking for more help you opted to take what you thought was going to be the easy way out and download an illegal copy of Wavelab.

Wavelab retails for 3 times the price of Tracktion which, as I recall, was your first choice.

Grow up, WILL. And, as we say in Chicago, if you're gonna come then come correct.

Without being privy to former conversation, I agree that I can't even imagine someone dropping $600 software while having no idea that it's not even a multi-tracking program...

And if that's the case, you're dead to me.

Actually, I didn't download any pirate software, I just ordered it from guitar center last night. I have dial-up internet, so I'm not able to download large programs. I was able to follow you very helpful instructions, however, I'm not able to efficiently put together anything with reaper, because I'm using the sample stuff that was sent with the line 6 interface.
They sent me gearbox, (which works well) and live light 4.15. This is all I have with reaper. I was only able to import sound files created in live light by opening them in a creative media source player (from my mp3 player) and dragging them from there into Reaper. The problem with this is not only is it time consuming, but the effects from live light are lost, and I'm only able to open the files in the creative media source player if I delete the previous ones saved there. Once I do this, the files are gone, and Reaper displays that track as OFFLINE and then I'm in a rut.
So, I'm sorry you were under the impression that I was an idiot who was going to scam my way through this. That's not the case. I spent $105 on the program, (I figured I'd be able to do my recording straight into Soundwave, and sequence, mix and do everything in it and save some time)
I guess I'll take your advice and return what I just ordered, and get the Traction 2 software.
