Straight to the point,

midi on Cubase is (FINE) I can record all of my music, cool
Now far as vocals, should I connect my mic to the sound card
(Sound Blaster 16)and this would record audio/Wave in Cubase
(scratching head) is that right ?

Or should I have the Mic, in my mixer (XLR) channel 11
run the sound card IN/OUT into mixer and be able to record
vocals on my cubase ? is that another way(scratching head)

and lastly, I have Wavelab 3.0 (steinberg family) I presume you all know this already, anyway for some strange reason I cant link these up together, I mean I figured when I play my midi tracks on Cubase, the Wavelab would play too, (or is that NOT how it works) I know it's easy to just record straight to my ADAT via the mixer
but the rewinding and so forth to stack choruses is time consuming, SO.. the audio/Waves is rather new to me cause I havent done vocals into the computer.... UNTIL NOW, so any help would be appreciative, THANKS guys

I can't really help you too much, but from how I'm reading your post....you're asking if you should connect your mic directly to the soundcard, or run through your mixer and out of the mixer into the soundcard.
IF that is the case, you definitely want to go through your mixer first, so that you can set the mic preamp levels, then you know you're sending a useable signal to the card. This will get you going in the correct direction for all of your audio recording on the computer. Hope this helps! bOb
