what's the difference? does one sound better or something?
Also what programs can turn "wav"'s into "aif"'s?
Whats a good program to chop a song apart to fit the recycle qwota of 5 mins. I have Recycle, Reason, can any of these do it?
Thanks fro your time!!!

help needed...

How can I chop up songs off cd, to make samples... I have wav files that are longer than 5 mins and recycle wont except them, is there any programs directed towards this stuff.

soundforge is the best for this but a bit pricey

check out cool edit. Alot of people like but its damn ugly.
theres also goldwave which is free as i remember

Actually I've seen Sound Forge 5.0 for $99.00 and $129 at Best Buy in the last two months.

If you're working on a Mac, any of the sound editing programs will read wav's and you can save them as aiff's. Quicktime will also convert them by just double-clicking on them (you will have to have PC-Exchange running in your Extensions to read a PC disk, though...)

yeah!!!

Sound Forger was the golden ticky... but gotta get bizack to the lab, peace!
