Wasting Light Microphone

Hey guys!

I was watching a clip of the FF recording Wasting Light and in the song "I Should Have Known" I noticed that Dave sang the vocals really really close to the mic.

Oh, and I guess that this mic must be dynamic, right? It kinda looks like the Shure sm7b, but maybe it just looks like it.
 
Looks like SM7b with also the thin foam cover on it. Though I wish I could see better pix. It looks like it is mounted differently from mine tho.
