A little Soprano uke song and a bit of crooning.

I love my ukes, I figure this one weighs in at about 9 ounces. Thats a little box to try and get musical sounds out of, yet she sings with the big guys.

This song demonstrates it's a real crap shoot when one is pumped full of morphine and watches the history channel with their uke in hand.

I do hope you find a moment to enjoy this one, it wrote it's for all soldiers everywhere on every side then and now.

Peace.

cant say Im a fan of the uke, but as for the recording, it sounds really big and full even with such little accompaniment.

Thanks for the time and ear,..

Yes, this lil uke in this piece can't weigh more than about 9 ounces.. it can still crank em out though..

I said it before at the other place and will reiterate it here...

Love it - these are the kinds of songs that belong on the radio...period

Mix - wise I'd switch the eq on the uke with that on the vocals. Brighten up the vocals and trim down the uke. That will make them a wee bit smoother..

I love ukes! Great song. The vox is too clouded. Too much low end. I think part of it is the reverb. Try to trim down the verb and also some low-low mid from it.

I agree with this. it sounds like you were too close to the mic when you recorded the vocals, and it's a bit boomy and low mid heavy. I'd just back off a bit from the mic and that may clear it up. Less reverb would be good as well. Otherwise love this tune. Can't beat an old crooner!
