WANTED_ Pentium4_2.4 ghz 400fsb CPU

Anyone got one of these babies hanging around they would sell?
I have all the parts to make a better computer..but im missing just the processor and 2.4 is the highest this mobo will go.

i got one that ive been thinkin about sellin... still not sure though so make me an offer and let me think about it... its a HP Pavilion a610y... had it about 6 months...
 
you do know i only need the processor...right? :D
If your talking about selling the whole tower...what do you want for it?
Id rather you name a price as i dont want to throw out a price and insult ya! :D
Name your price either for the chip or the whole tower and ill let ya know if its in my price range!
 
I have a 2.4 CPU, but it is a 533 FSB. Can you use that?
 
i believe it will not...but if the price is right...im willing to try it! :D
 
Well, what is the model name and number of your motherboard. Should be printed somewhere on the board. Let me know, I will check to see if it is compatible. Is 2.4 as high as the motherboard will go, because I have a couple higher speed 400 FSB CPUs, I believe a 2.6 and 2.8.
 
Well its a ASUS motherboard ...model # P4B-LA.(BIOS DATE: 08/28/2001-I845)
I believe this came out of a Pavilion 7965

I think this will only do 2.4. I could be wrong..but from what ive searched...seems 2.4 is it.
 
Motherboard Specs

Here are the specs. Yes, it is a 400 FSB platform which uses pc133 sdram. What is the speed of your current processor, and how much RAM do you have on it? Looks like all I have is a 1.8 ghz CPU.
 
yeah its got a 1.7 in it now with 768 mb's i managed to scrape up for it...hence the wanting to bump it up to 2.4 :D
Then i would have a decent 2nd machine for the wife...then she can leave mine alone!!!
