Looking for an 8 string or 12 string bass. Flexible, so if you have one let me know what you got and what you want. I am looking for harmony strings ( like a 12 string guitar).

From my travels, those are fairly rare beasts. I saw one in a pawn shop in Lafayette, La. more than a decade ago- even though I play lefty, I was tempted.

No, I lived there, but I saw the guys Simon was referring to! Heck, I was the guy who pointed them in the right direction!

I did see some 8 and 12 string basses in a MF catalog about 10 years ago and thought that I should pick them up as a collectors item but never did. Guess I should have. The one thing that held me off was the fact that they were a cheapo brand (can't remember the name right now but will post it if I remember).

Always thought that they were kinda cool but where the heck though would one purchase strings for these bad boys???
