Had the same problem, but waited patiently and finally picked up an M-308 on Ebay for 280 bucks. It was a gem too!
Every single part of it is pristine and works beautifully.
I had been looking for over 6 Months and just kept an eye on all the "Trading" websites(Ebay, etc).
Also HR has them from time to time, so one might come up here.
If you can find a Manual for an M-308, let me know!
