I am sick of taking my MOTU828mkii to gigs just to use the audio interface. I run a MIDI keyboard into a BCR2000 into my MOTU828 into my laptop (energyXT) for my live setup. My laptop's onboard sound licks chode. So I just want something to replace the MOTU for live gigs. Something like the Tascam US122. Maybe an ECHO indigo. I want to keep it under $200. Whaddya got?

i'd go with the tascam, but the mobile pre is only $150.

good luck, sorry no help.

The mobile pre doesn't have a MIDI input though does it?

had a tascam us122, can't say that I loved it very much. noisy, headphone signal bled into the recoding channels, midi was completley unusable for one reason or another. maybe I had a bad one? Or maybe you should get the mobile pre

hmmm... i think you are right... i don't think the mobilepre has a midi in. what about the USB Uno??? it's only $39.99 at musiciansfriend. would that not be suitable for your needs??? i know a fellow who has one, and he likes his.

good luck,

Jacob

The UNO is just a MIDI to USB converter. It does not have any converters in it.
Currently leaning more towards the ECHO.
