My kids have one of those mini-sized drum kits they like to bang around on, but one of the hi-hat cymbals is missing. So, I need a cheap 9" or 10" no-name type of cymbal to make the hi-hat functional again. I don't want to buy anything new because they're too expensive and my kids are only 5 and 3.

So if you got a little 9 or 10 inch cymbal you can spare for cheap, please let me know.

Thanx :)

Look into Saluda cymbals. IIRC, I got a small Saluda mist spaslh cymbal for under $10 on eBay. It's actually a step up from my Pearl splash, not that this says much.... :D

Grab a broken cymbal somewhere, and cut it down to the correct diameter. Should be pretty close to free, if you have tin snips already.

Look up Stagg or Sunlite, same cheap cymbal idea on ebay. They're round, made out of metal, and cheap. That's what I can say about them.

Okay, I checked it out... everything I could. All the brands you guys named plus Basik, Camber, and several other cheapo brands. The problem is that even the cheapest cymbals (paper thin and destined to crack within a week) might have a fairly cheap purchase price, but the shipping charges for these super-light cheapos are rediculous!! No matter which way I go I'm going to spend $20 or more for a piece of garbage. Now, I don't mind getting a crappy cymbal, but I'm not paying 2-1/2 times the actual shipping cost for a paper-thin cymbal that weighs less than 8 ounces. Ebay rapes the sellers with rediculous charges, so I can't say I blame the sellers themselves. I hate Ebay.

So the hunt continues!!!

I'm going home this weekend, I'll see if I still have an old hi-hat that was trash. If I do, I'll send it to you for only shipping. No promises that I still have it though. :o

Thanx Andy, I appreciate it! :)

Look up a lot of cymbals of you do that, then you just pay one shipping cost.

The first one cost $36.71 with shipping, which is $36.71 more than I paid for this entire drum kit.

The second one is too small, I need at least a 9" cymbal and the auction will probably end higher than it's current $10.00 price anyway.

The third auction is for a full set, I just want one cymbal. The shipping cost alone is rediculous and that auction will probaby go up to at least $40 with shipping by the time it ends.

I need ONE cheap, no-name cymbal at a cheap price with actual shipping costs, not the "jacked-up-to-make-a-bigger profit-on-Ebay cost."

Ebay is totally out of consideration at this point.

But thanx for trying! :)

Not sure of the sizes, but I have a couple small splash types that I use on my practice kit... One's some sort of starter Paiste and the other is an old Sabian B8

If one is a 10 incher it's yours...

I'll check tonight after work

:)
