wah help!

okay so i have a dunlop 535q wah..now a lot of the times when im wah'ing, when i press up (to the treble spot) like the second it taps the switch, the signal cuts out for a SPLIT second...its very annoying and idk whats doing it, does anyone have any ideas???? helpppppp

it's probably the pot. some contact cleaner should fix it.
 
Tuner cleaner, not carb cleaner. Even the stuff from Radio Shack works well for cleaning pots. Open the pedal so you can access the pot, spray it with the cleaner, let it set a few seconds then spray again. Work it back and forth a few times then spray again and work it a few more times. Wipe off any overspray and put the cover back on the pedal. If the problem continues then you need to replace the pot.
