I bid $600 on a Neumann tlm 127 and won. The guy has "0" feedback and will only accept money orders. Too good to be true? I'm thinking..........maybe so.

This actually has an easy solution. Use the escrow service . (www.escrow.com )You send the money to the escrow, they send the mic to the escrow & verify that is a mic (but not much more), and then send the mic to you, and the money to him. Check to see if the escrow offers a delay where you can get the mic & check it out before sending him the money. This will add roughly $30 or so, its been awhile since I looked at it.
If he will not agree to this, I wouldn't do it.

I agree with the escrow service, but have seen situations where they weren't allowed as an option either. I've been ripped with Paypal to the tune of $250, so all is not fair and square, I suppose.
