which one is better for multi-track recording and editing cubase vst 5.0 or cubase sx 1.0?

Get the patches to SX so your running 1.03.

I also have 32/VST and it's a great program, but imho SX is easier to use, more powerful with easy navigation and a better audio engine. PLus it's new and things are only going to get better. If your trying to decide which one to get I would highly recommend SX.

If your using super complex MIDI, then depending on what your doing you may want to still use VST. I use MIDI on SX and I havn't had any trouble yet, but I have read a few complaints from people doing complex MIDI stuff.

I used the demo verson of VST and wanted to puke on it, LOL! I really think it sucks @$$ IMO. ;)

Then I came aross Cubase SX and downloaded the demo and LOVED IT; then I bought it from ebay brand new for $345! Woohoo!

So basiclly what I am saying is that you should download both demo versions. I'm 99.99% sure you will like SX way better then VST.

And if you want SX go though ebay, I only got it for such a cheap price because it was an "academic version", which means the seller needs to see proof that you are enrolled in a college, or work in one, etc.
