Anyone using it? I get some input latency issues when running a lot of VST effects, and I thought it may be a good way to put a second computer I have here in the Bongo Palace to use.

It's way better to use FX Teleport. Forget about Systemlink. It sucks.
FX Teleport works on Windows 7, too.
Of course, if you're using a Mac, forget everything I said.

For Mac, you could use VSL vienna ensemble pro. It's costly but it does the job. I think Jimmy uses it.
