Vst system link & Asio bus creation

Hello everyone!
I am trying to synchronize my Intel P4 PC with a G4 mac lap.
I use 2 Motu 828mkII connected via optical cables.

I followed the instuctions given in the operation manual, and got to the point where i am supposed to... (..."create input & output busses in both computers applications (CubaseSX2) and route these to the digital inputs & outputs...)

So when i go to the Pc "Devices-Vst inputs" menu.....i can see and choose analogue busses mic/guitar busses and ADAT busses...so i choose adat busses....

On the mac tho... when i go to ("Devices-Vst connections) and try to add a bus, all i see are the analogue ins and outs (for outputs)..... no mic-guitar & and no ADAT bus option for selection....

Is there a specific way making these visible? Do i need to connect the cards in another way?? Fire-wire cable for example?

...also....note that i have used word clock cables.....am i supposed to set the slave card to "word clock in" or "ADAT optical" in the clock sourse pop up?
