I was wondering if anyone here has heard of or used this SIR convolution reverb. A recent look into the kvr-vst forum I noticed that many members thought it was the next best thing to sliced bread. Any thoughts out there on to whether it's worth downloading it?

SIR somewhat rocks... I seem to have too many click/pop problems with it, so I pretty much ignore it.

Otherwise, it certainly is a cool plug. Quite versatile, and nice sounding (at least, as nice as the source reflections are).

It certainly won't hurt to give it a shot -

Will a host compensate for the latency or should I maybe use like a delay plugin to account for the descrepency?

Maybe I should use that ambience reverb plug. It also sounds pretty cool and without the latency!

Thanks for the reply!

Depends on the host... Nuendo, Cubase, yes.

Also works great with N-Track... which DOES compensate for the latency (and only costs $40-$60, too!)

sir is nice..
sonic foundry has a decent impule reverb too..
tascam i hear has a serious impule reverb plugin that just came out at namm.
but from someone i know thats a waves tester.. he said the new waves impule reverb tops them all.. only problem i think its $1000!!! just for a reverb plugin.. waves is trippin IMO
